Thank you for purchasing a license for the Afian Document Management System!

We hope this tool will make work easier in your organization.

If you happen to have a suggestion for us, we encourage you get in touch with us. Many of the functions in this software have been suggested by people just like you. We'd love to hear what you have to say about it.

GENERAL TIPS:

- Traffic is counted only for file uploads and downloads, so the traffic generated by the file manager's interface doesn't add up.

- Logs archives are stored in gzipped CSV files in folder: /PATH_TO_AFIAN/system/data/logsarchive/

KNOWN ISSUES

Afian was tested and found to be working in many browsers (including Microsoft Internet Explorer, Opera, Mozilla, Netscape 6), under many platforms (Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OSX).

In older versions of Mozilla and Opera you may encounter graphic glitches in the interface, due to imperfect support of CSS and Javascript by those browsers. Even with those glitches, Afian should work properly. We recommend that you use the latest version of your preferred browser.

Under Opera, the "upload" dialog will only let you upload three files at once.

DISCLAIMER CONCERNING SECURITY:

We atest that, to the best of our knowledge, this product is secure.

However, we make no guarantees about this. We cannot predict how this software may behave under all possible combinations of hardware and software.

Also, keep in mind that Afian depends on other software and hardware, which were developed by other teams that are unrelated to the Afian team. Their products may have "bugs" of which we might not be aware. Therefore, a vulnerability in the PHP software, or in the Web server, does not mean that our product is vulnerable.

This software is intended simply to let you share files with your clients and your employees. It does not cure cancer. Its scope is not to save the world.

If you have clients and employees that are trying to hack into your network, then maybe you should ask yourself some questions about the nature of the relationship between you and those people.

You understand that this software is not for use in safety critical systems (systems where a fault can cause damage to persons or objects). Therefore, you agree that Afian LLC will not be held responsible for any loss of and/or corruption of data due to the use of this product.
