development Engineer

General Description
  • Leading In-house & out-sourced tool and component development for new program
  • Ensuring all suppliers meet SL and Customer’s key milestones
  • Champion of Pre-production part build and delivery
  • Coordinate all engineering and launch related Issues
Responsibilities
  • Provide necessary tooling information and requirement for in-house & out-sourced tool to the supplier
  • Review in-house & out-sourced tool design and minimize potential design & quality issues
  • Lead DFM activities
  • Ensuring for all supplier to meet dimensional requirement on time and to set up a stable process to satisfy KPC or SCCAF
  • Conduct periodic meetings with all suppliers to monitor progress of tool development, timing and issues
  • Supporting internal and external engineering changes on new program
  • Responsible for ensuring that supplier quality problems of developing components are resolved in a timely and effective manner without reoccurrence.
  • Coordinate PPP MRD and similar pre-SOP requirements
  • Participate Customer & Internal PDT Meetings
  • Support Gate Reviews & internal/customer R@R
  • Supporting for sourcing of new component
Job Requirements

Work Experience

  • At least three years of experience as SQE/SQA or Development engineer in automotive manufacturing environment
  • Or 3+ years launch management.

Education

  • Bachelor’ s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
  • Mechanical or Electrical/Electronical Engineering experience is a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Read and understand Drawings, EWOs, ECOs, & other customer change documentation
  • Working knowledge of key quality core tools(APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Proficient in MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Must be able to work efficiently and effectively with all departments
