Sales Representative III

General Description

Communicate with customer and internal teams at SL in a cooperative manner. Observe assigned program status, profitability, improvement and customer satisfaction.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Sales contact for the assigned program and customer buyer
2. Work with related Engineering Manager for the program
3. Understand SL Strategy, Product, Technology, Process, Cost Structure and Market and Customer value chain
4. Read/analyze markets and set strategies, research new businesses/customers and propose strategy
5. Review and understand and review cost structures to develop and manage profits
6. Develop VA/VE ideas to improve profitability through close working with customer and cross functional teams
7. Prepare and manage Sales documents (Quote Programs, Profit Reports, Marketing Reports/Analysis etc.)
8. Gather market trend/information and customer intelligence and propose strategies to SL
9. Coordinate assigned program issues among customer and SL cross functional teams globally
10. negotiate pricing with customers team members (Purchasing, Costing and Engineering)
11. Manage and review of Purchase Orders to deploy with in SL Organization and validate with customer
12. Develop and apply new Sales Strategy of SL by developing, managing and implementing advance sales within customer to manage technical developments and propose new developments
13. Coach other team members to support their account activities
14. Domestic and International travel required as needed
15. Works with customers to find what they want, create solutions and ensure a smooth sales process
16. Displays a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
17. Works independent and collaborative in nature
18. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project
19. Follow the responsibilities in the internal company’s program management system

Job Requirements

Work Experience and Qualifications
1. May require a bachelor’s degree
2. 4 -7 years of related experience
3. MBA a plus
4. Matrix organization experience as a team member a plus
5. Multicultural and/or Global Organization
6. Previously supervised and managed small teams for specific projects”

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
2. Fluent in MS Office products
3. Strong presentation skills
4. Ability to develop personal relationships with customers
5. Understanding of APQP
6. Understanding of market price and cost structure
7. Knowledge of SL Manufacturing Products a plus
8. Cost Management, Marketing experience a plus
9. Bilingual Korean/English language a plus
10. 4-7 years of document control and contract (Purchase Order) Management experience required
11. 4-7 years of preparing and managing sales documents (Quote documents for customer, profit reports, marketing reports) required
12. Manage, control and review of purchase orders and invoicing
13. 4-7 years of prepare sales forecasts documents and monitor market trends throughout the year a plus
14. Capable to review, update and control customer work sites
15. Proficient in sales contact for the assigned program and customer buyer
16. Work with related program team supporting (PMS) program manager to update program management system activities from sales a plus
17. Understanding of SL Strategy, Product, Technology, Process and customer value Chain
18. Prepare sales forecasts documents and monitor market trends throughout the year
19. Some exposure in developing sales forecast based on market data, trend and knowledge of customer sales
20. Coordinate assigned program issues among customer and SL cross functional teams globally
21. Review and understand and review cost structures to develop and manage profits
22. Lead VA/VE ideas to improve profitability through close working with customer and cross functional teams
23. Gathering market trend/information and customer intelligence and propose strategies to SL
24. Some experience in reading/analyzing markets, set strategies, research new businesses/customers, and propose strategies
25. Lead Company Initiatives for improvement
26. Able to manage and lead sales customer centric process
27. Negotiate pricing with customers team members (Purchasing, Costing and Engineering)
28. Prepare and make technical presentations of current and new technology
