Sales Representative III

General Description
Communicate with customer and internal teams at SL in a cooperative manner. Observe assigned program status, profitability, improvement and customer satisfaction. Advance Sales strategy development and coordination with all levels of customer that work in advance development.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Sales contact for the assigned program and customer buyer
- Work with related Engineering Manager for the program
- Understand SL Strategy, Product, Technology, Process, Cost Structure and Market and Customer value chain
- Read/analyze markets and set strategies, research new businesses/customers and propose strategy
- Review and understand and review cost structures to develop and manage profits
- Develop VA/VE ideas to improve profitability through close working with customer and cross functional teams
- Prepare and manage Sales documents (Quote Programs, Profit Reports, Marketing Reports/Analysis etc.)
- Gather market trend/information and customer intelligence and propose strategies to SL
- Coordinate assigned program issues among customer and SL cross functional teams globally
- negotiate pricing with customers team members (Purchasing, Costing and Engineering)
- Manage and review of Purchase Orders to deploy with in SL Organization and validate with customer
- Develop and apply new Sales Strategy of SL by developing, managing and implementing advance sales within customer to manage technical developments and propose new developments
- Coach other team members to support their account activities
- Domestic and International travel required as needed
Job Requirements
Work Experience:
1. Minimum of 6-9 years of experience on a related field in the automotive industry
2. Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as an Account Manager in the product related for the job
3. Matrix organization experience as a team member a plus
4. Multicultural and/or Global Organization
5. Previously supervised and managed small teams for specific projects
Education:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business or related.
2. MBA a plus
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in MS Office products
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to develop personal relationships with customers
- Understanding of APQP
- Understanding of market price and cost structure
- Knowledge of SL Manufacturing Products a plus
- Cost Management, Marketing experience a plus
- Bilingual Korean/English language a plus
