Pre-Production Supervisor

 

General Description
  •  Lead the Pre-Production team to achieve maximum efficiency while minimizing waste factors.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise & lead the shop floor (PEOPLE, equipment, materials) according to the SL way & handbook
  • Daily OEE (Quality, Performance, Availability) Management & Lead or Support any TFT or Strategy Projects as assigned
  • Daily Production Plan vs Result management for the Pre-Production team
  • Daily SWS
  • Daily Inventory Management
  • Lead or participate in Problem Solving Reports when assigned for QSB Fast Response Meeting
  • Provide support and training to the employees as needed, verify the employee payroll as required, execute employee evaluations as required, perform any disciplinary corrective actions to employees or incident reports as required, and manage the employee training matrix
  • Comply with the quality and environmental standards, procedures, and instructions (those applicable)
  • All those activity’s generated as a result of changes, requirements and/or improvement in the process of the applicable area
  • Identify safety risks and concerns & act ASAP
  • Follow SL escalation policy
  • Manage any QUALITY sort along with any documentation necessary as well as Non-conforming area management
  • Verify all SPC, purge, dip Test and secondary requirements are completed and within spec.
  • Work with other departments to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Verify all check sheets are completed within all areas of the department
  • Ensure operator compliance with 6S, standard work, safety and quality standards and procedures
  • Treat employees with respect
Job Requirements

Work Experience

  • 2-3 years of supervisor experience in manufacturing preferred but not required

Education

  • High school degree or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • The ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to complete assigned projects on time in a changing environment
  • Demonstrate good ethical characteristics and behaviors
  • Basic Microsoft Office Skills especially Powerpoint and Excel
  • Handling of chemical substances and hazardous residues
  • Control of spilled substances
  • Handling of equipment against fire
  • Basic Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good Leadership skills
  • Good communication skills
