Sales Account Manager

General Description

Communicate with customer and internal teams at SL in a cooperative manner. Observe assigned program status, profitability, improvement and customer satisfaction.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Sales contact for the assigned program and customer buyer
2. Understand SL Strategy, Product, Technology, Process, Cost Structure and Market and Customer value chain
3. Ability to read/analyze markets and set strategies
4. Research new businesses/customers and propose strategy
5. Ability to review and understand cost structures to develop and manage profits
6. Develop VA/VE ideas to improve profitability through close working with customer and cross functional teams
7. Prepare and manage Sales documents (Quote Programs, Profit Reports, Marketing Reports/Analysis etc.)
8. Gather market trend/information and customer intelligence
9. Coordinate assigned program issues among customer and SL cross functional teams globally
10. Ability to negotiate pricing with customers team members (Purchasing, Costing and Engineering)
11. Manage and review of Purchase Orders to deploy within SL Organization and validate with customer
12. Domestic and International travel required as needed

Job Requirements

Work Experience:

1. Minimum 3~5 years of experience on a related field in the automotive industry
2. Worked in Matrix organizations as a team member a plus
3. Worked in a Multicultural and/or Global Organization


Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business or related

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
2. Fluent in MS Office products
3. Strong presentation skills
4. Ability to develop personal relationships with customer
5. Understand of APQP
6. Understand the cost structure
7. Knowledge of SL Manufacturing Products a plus
8. Cost Management, Marketing experience a plus
9. Bilingual Korean/English a plus
